Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. As a child, she was inspired by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romance ballads. Ana is a fan of Tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas and any form drama. Ana began learning to sing and play music at an early age alongside her mother. The formal singing instruction when she reached the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a student, and when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups as well as choruses. After relocating in the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current home in southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in many projects in the community because of her passion and love for music. Ana was a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates having the chance to share her passion and passion of old-fashioned Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of to, particularly in the younger age group to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
